D^r Sir

We have shipped to you to day from this point by Rail Road Nineteen boxes containing Cotton Cards with backs and handles and one large Box con=taining cards without backs or handles for which we have taken the Rail Road receipt.

Under our contract they are at you with you or the [risk?] of the State when delivered at a R. Road Depot and the Road Expenses or freight is borne by the state. On these we have advanced $30⁰⁰ the amt. of freight.

Acknowledge receipt if you please.

Call Mr Couver's attention to the fact of your receiving them and let him represent our in-terest in valuing these without backs that are damaged.
