Charge I Highway robbery.

Specification I.... In this, that he, William J. Ester, alias I. T. Brown, alias Watkins, did assault one: Charles B. Burwell on the highway, and did forcibly and feloniously and by putting him in fear then and there take from the person (or presence) of Said Burwell, the Sum of $5,,00 in currency of the United States, and one Silver Watch, and on pocketbook, All of which was the rightful property of Said Burwell, This near Meridian, Mississippi, on or about the 18^th_,, , day of September, 1865

Charge II Larceny.

Specification I.... In this, that he, William J Ester, alias I. T. Brown alias Watkins, did feloniously take, steal, and carry away from the Store of Mr Hulburts one horse and Saddle of the value of two hundred dollars, the lawfull property of Robert, Stokes (Colored) with intent to convert them to his own use and benefit, without consent of the owner. This at Meridian, Mississippi, on or about the 13th day of September, 1865.
