This day ser ^I^ have ~~this~~ taken ^my^ Pen in hand To drop you a few lines I heave ^bin^ riden arond Severel days & in Pasting I saw great many of the Poor colord peepel out of doors & was Nakd & Did not know ware to go & was two old to Work for the liven & I Would like very much For you to make some or ringement for them As things lays in you Power to do so & ll also Ser the hope that you will Not Be orfended at my Bold undertakeen for the laws Are made By you in this State & we poor colord peepel can Not git a liven contracts to live on the land holders Will Rent the land so as We cant live 10 Dollars for 1 accar are two Much for land & We poor colord peepel can Not live on them terms & if you can make A And arrangement to that arfect I will Be moe then a thousan times of or B Blige to you for So doing & the a Great many often children here in Washington county & heave know won t[page torn] Take cear of them & We do Not know what To do for them unlest you Will send some Word or make some arrengment for them I think the ~~out~~ ort to Be some Man to see after them But you know Beter then I What to do But I though that I Would State the case to you As I Was Whare that I coud see Every Thing goin on of that kind the Skilets are rusting for the wont of some Thing to put in them & the do not know Where to git it from to put in them
