His Excellency J. L. Alcorn,
Governor of Mississippi

Sir,

I have the honor to report that D^r Compton, Medical Superinten-dent of the Lunatic Asylum, received Dennis Abrick an insane convict, into that institution on the 8^th_' instant under instructions heretofore given by you. I have the honor to recommend that a pardon be granted said convict from date of his admission to the Asylum, and would refer you to the certificate of D^r Kells that at the time of his admission here he was an imbecile and unaccountable for his actions.

Said Dennis Abrick was convicted of Grand Larceny at the February 1870 term, of the Circuit Court of Warren County, and sentenced to be
