The State of Mississippi
Jackson County

In the Circuit Court of Jackson at the Feb Term A D 1871

The Grand Jurors of the State of Mississippi Summoned Empannelled Sworn and charged to enquire in and for the body of Jackson County and State of Mississippi at the term aforesaid of the Court aforesaid in the name and by the authority of the State of Mississippi upon their Oath present that John Anderson Randall Harthorn and Tom Denny (Col) late of the County aforesaid on the 1^st day of Feb A D 1871 feloniously wilfully and of their malice aforethought did make and assault in and upon one William M^cFall then and there being and him the said William M^cFall then and there feloniously wilfully and of their malice aforesaid of them the said John Anderson Randall Hawthorn and Tom Denny (Col) did Kill and murder and the jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do further present that on the day and year aforesaid Ned House Tom Williams Bob Dill and Jenkins feloniously willfully and of their malice aforethought were present feloniously willfully and of their malice aforethought aidin abetting and assisting the John Anderson Randall Harthorn and Tom Denny (Col) of the felony and Murder aforesaid to do and commit against the peace and dignity of the State of Mississippi
