Dear Sir—

At the request of L. L. Ward who lives near Arkabulta we send you the enclosed petition & letter to Gov Alcorn requesting the pardon of his brother Thomas Ward

Please carry them to the Governor at once & if possible obtain the pardon

Respfy &c
