Respected Sir,

You will please notice upon a petition which was gotten up by some of the enemies of A. Taylor Esqr as Deputy Sheriff of Wayne County to your Majesty for his removal from office the name of Off Collins Col^d Wesley Powe Col^d & James Slay Col^d & others too numerous to mention which we say were forged signatures as they were signed without our knowledge or consent & a great many more names of Col^d men were signed in the same way if I have been properly informed so you can see from this the illegallity of the document to some extent.
