Gov. J. L. Alcorn
Jackson Miss.

Sir,

Peter Kesler charged with Cotton Stealing was found guilty at this time of Our Circuit Court. After Keslers trial and conviction a party Yates who was charged in the same indictment with Kesler as being one of the parties to the larceny plead guilty, and said to the Court that Kesler had been wronged, Yates says now that Kesler had no part or lot in it, We the undersigned members of the Holly Springs Bar and officers of the Court from the information that has came to our knowledged and from what we witnessed believe that Kesler has been the victim of circumstances which led to his conviction without having perticepated in any way felloneous action impeeled to him

We therefore in justice to this unfortunate ask at your hands a full pardon.

We are respecifully. He is upwards of Sixty years of age and has two sons now in the penintentiary convicted of the same offences they having been jointly indicted with Yates and their
