Be It Known, that G. C. Edwards a citizen of the Incorporation of the town of Kosciusko, having on the [gap] day of February 1871, filed his petition signed by a majority of the legal voters of said Incorporation asking a License to retail vinous and spirituous Liquors in the town of Kosciusko in the House Known as the Beacham Store House and said petition having lay ons for more than thirty days and no counter petitions having been presented—and said G. C. Edwards having produced the receipt of the sheriff of Attala County for Two hundred dollars, being the amount prescribed as a Tax for said business, dated May 2^nd 1871, and said Edwards having made a bond and taken the oath prescribed by law, It is ordered that said G. C. Edwards have and exercise the privilege of retailing for twelve months, in the Beacham House, to date from May 2^nd 1871,
