To his Excellency
J. L. Alcorn.

Dear Sir.

I am by your appointment A Justice of the Peace of First Beat in this County But I have no Constable reguralley appointed and it is allmost impossible to get any one to act in cases of Riot and other offences against the State. We have sent a Petition from this place to your Excellency but Suppose that the party recomended has not been accepted—Therefore I pray you to nominate George W Riddell a citizen of this place
