Keys District Attory 13^th Dist J P Marshall Clerk Chancy Court Carroll County H C Manker Assessor U S Revenue Carroll County W A Wilson Assessor Carroll County Lem Tuttle Jr Dept Sheriff Carroll Co And about one hundred (100) names on a petition inclosed Tomorrow I will send the Recomendation of Judge Coffee Chancelor ot this District and that of R. C. Handsborough

Clerk Circuit Court Carroll Co,, M H Tuttle is in Vicksburg if you see him on his way up get his indorsement for me he will give it Cheerfully I know

I have endeavoured to get the recommendations of the officers of Governor Alcorns administration who would be best know to him rather than a Mass of un-known names—I think I have done pretty well in only one day

The Board of Organisers ad=journed late yesterday evening and their Recomendations go forward this morning we have a Negro John Thomas for this Winona district a very good man also one from Lodi District I do not know any thing of him
