At a called meeting of the Enterprise Guards held at their armory in the City of En-terprise on the evening of the 21^st inst The following resolutions were introduced by Lieut W. S. Reynolds and were unan-imously adopted.

Resolved that our organization being Military, we are the more bound to de-fend our State when assailed by For=eign or domestic foes; and believing that the aspect of political matters now portends Such Contingency. We do unan-imously offer our Services to Gov Pettus Such Service to be rendered at a moment's notice

Resolved that our Secretary, on his arrival in Jackson, be instructed to present the above resolution Signed by the Commissioner
