The North American land comp-any capital mostly owned by citizens of Boston and New York has had their office in this Town for many years in which they have a considerable amt. of Debts due them and some lands in the state and a considerable quantity of ^good^ Land in the State of Arkansas and I suggest the propriety of confis-cating it for the use of the Confederate States

The Lincoln People do such work and why not as any information you may require can be furnished Walter Goodman is their Agent.
