Dear Sir

I must begin with an apology for troubling you, but as a principle of the honor of the State of Miss. I should like know whether an independint gentleman volunteer of her army. can exact sufficient influence to obtain a discharge: or whether she would insist upon retaining in her service any such who was not willing to serve
