Gov. Pettus:

By the request of Mr Lyon I would respecfully represent to you the true position of the Tish-omingo Rangers. That com-pany at no time never has mustered more than fifty or fifty five in its prosperty. now there could not be more than twenty or thirty at farth-erest collected, at least one third of the company has gone off with infantry and the remander never drill nor have no idea of being caled into service. The arms in their possession should be placed into mens hands who expect to use them
