TO THE EXECUTIVE AUTHORITY OF THE
State of Mississippi

Whereas, It appears by the annexed documents, which is hereby certified to be authentic, that R. W. Magill stands charged with the Murder of Charles T Sutton committed in the State of Arkansas, and information having been received that the said R. W. Magill ha fled from justice and taken refuge in the State of Mississippi

Wherefore, I, A. N. Rector, Governor of the State of Arkansas, have thought proper, in pursuance of the provisions of the Constitution and Laws of the ~~United~~ ^Confederate^ States, to demand the surrender of the said R. W. Magill as a fugitive from justice, and that he be delivered to Caleb P. Bennett who is hereby appointed agent on the part of the State to receive him, and remove him to this State.
