to his Excelency John J Pettis Govenor of the state of Miss this is to Certify that John Swofford^d,, Privet in Capton Perrey Companey of Cavelery whose is known By the name of Decator rangers did on the knight of the 10 inst Cane to my Residence and take my ~~[?]~~ the onley horse that I had for which I Claim to bee Damedge one hundred Dollars and we the undersigned doo certify that the a bove state is correct and we doo Petition his Excelency to Consider the above statement
