If "Marshall law" should be declared in this county. I would like to get the appoint-ment of Provost Marshall for the county-I can refer you to our Senator the Hon E. R,, Brown or to our C S Senator Hon A. G,, Brown—I am exempt, but am will-ing to render myself useful at home—there are a great many straglers passing to and fro through the County, and the matter ought to be looked into immediatley—Besides I render that some of our citizens have vis-ited the enemy, for the pur-puse of taking the oath of allegiance to the U S Govern-ment and if so they should be looked after, as I render they intended to return again into our community
