Dear Sir

enclosed you will find a petition signed by my neighbors praying my relese from servis as one of the minute men of Perry County, the reasons from which is therein expressed, I wish not to causul facts from you I applyed to the sergent of the 3^dBat of Miss Malitia at Columbus for a discharge, he said he was not authorised to giv a discharge for any disease considered removable, My disease may be considered removable yet it has baffled the skill of several Phisicians, and remains unchecked, I pray you to consider the facts as stated in the Petition and grant me a discharge if posable, if your honor please to grant me this request address me at Camp Adams Columbus Miss. I am Dear Sir your most Obt Servt
