Company I of the 5th Regiment, Mississippi Militia (State Troops) (Minute Men) (1862-1863) was organized on August 16, 1862 in Kemper County, Mississippi under the command of Capt. Henry C. Robinson and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Capts. H. D. McLaurin and J. Teal. (HMU, 14; DR-MSOR 892)
