The 21st Regiment, Alabama Infantry (Confederate) was organized in October 1861 in Mobile County, Alabama under the command of Col. Charles D. Anderson and served in the Western Theater in Gladden's, Higgins', Page's, and Thomas' brigades. It was later commanded by Col. James Crawford. (FS; NPS-BU; ADAH)
