Confederate States of America. Army--Chalmer, Tucker, and Sharp's Brigade
Sharp's Brigade was organized under the command of Brig. Gen. Sharp. It was consolidated as the 9th Mississippi Regiment on April 9, 1865, under the command of Col. William C. Richards and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Gen. John Bell Hood. (DR-MSOR, 594-595, 604)
