Currently located in Perry County, Alabama, Uniontown was founded in 1818 under the name of Woodville in what was then Dallas County. It was renamed Uniontown in 1861 and became part of the newly created Perry County on December 12, 1819. (ALE; Wiki; Atlas-HCB)
