Personaly appeared before me, J, M^c_.Innis an acting Justice of the Peace, for the county of Green. State of Mississippi— [Dr?] Thomas C Rhodes who being duly sworn, sayeth, that, on the, night of the 26^h day of December A D. 18659, one Zachariah Erkwood or Erquhart did commit an assault, with a knife upon Mr T. C Rhodes with intent to kill, and that the said Erquhart or Erkwood is now a fugitive from justice, and within the limits of the state of Alabama,

Above you have official information. of the facts this Erquhart is a fugitive, from justice, besides which. at the last time of the circuit court held in Green county—the grand jury found a bill against him for an assault with intent to kill. you will therefore, issue a requisition. on the Govr of Alabama, for him and oblige
