Dear Sir

You are aware that Home military companies have been formed throughout the state composed princi-pally fully of men of families some what advanced in age but no too old to render Good service if required I have the honor of commanding a company of Horse of these des-sription and the time has arived that they think their services are required in the field and they hereby offer their services to the state as twelve months men if thy can be equiped as light—Horse (with swords and Pistols. If we will be received a regular report of the company will be made immediately please let me have an answer immedtiately and also state the smallest number of men it requires to constitute a compay of Horse
