I send to the Rail Road today, a box directed to you, containing two Colts army rifles, with caps and cartridges enough for two good fights, place them in the hands of men who will use them effectively, also an old rifle barrel—and an old musket, the musket was bought for service in the nullification contest of 1832—I hope it may yet be repaired, and do good service in the secession war of 1861
