D^r. Sir—

I reached home last evening, and have had an interview with a gentlemen, who, it had occured to me, ~~would~~ was most admirably suited for collecting and superintending a train of 40 wagons to the "Salt Works"—I have known him for several years and have found him to be a faithful and skillful manager of negroes—possessing industry & energy—Indeed, I would recommend him, as the very man for the business—He is extensively known and would enjoy the confidence of those, whose wagons might be employed—as he is known to be honest, and a faithful & experien-ced nurse in sickness—D. P. Mullins is the man—I will endorse him—& if you should select him for the four counties in this part of the state, and
