John J. Pettus

Sir

The Brig Gen Comd'g directs me to inquire of you if he can obtain by requisition or otherwise for the troops of his command a part of the tents camp & Garrison Equippage left by the Malitia at Milldale. He is informed that but few remain at that place and that they are in all respects well appointed
