The bearer hereof B. F. Doster an enrolled Conscript of Lowndes County Miss is upon the affidavit on file in this office of Elisha Strong of Monroe County who is the owner of two plantations known as the "Lodi" and "Pecan Grove" plantations. Elisha Strong having complied with the Act of Congess approved May 1^st 1863 B. F. Doster is hereby exempted from Conscription as overseer of the "Pecan Grove" plantation under the Act of Congress entitled an act to further provide for the public defence" approved Sept 27 ^th 1862 as long as he is so employed and exempted by Law
