Dear Sir

I learn that ^the^ Salt agent has or is going to resign, if so I ask the liberty Suggesting Col John O Grisham, late of this place, but now of Macon, as a man of great Industry and energy (he is I beleve well know to genl West.) he may not be well stiled in the Salt making business, but he undestands much about the operating of Machinary and hands no dout other names will be sug-gested. I make this suggestion hoping that the best man may be taken.
