Sir

Being informed that the Salt Agent, for this State, has tendered his resignation I take the liberty of recommending as a suitable person to fill the vacany, Capt. Jno. O. Grisham

Capt. Grisham is a most energetic and competent business man, of exemplary habits and unquestioned integrity. There is no man within my Knowledge who is better suited to this important Position than he.
