Sir,

Herewith, please find a few lines, from Gov^r Brown of Geo. addressed to your Excellency, which I wish safe to hand and that the same may be satisfactory. I also send a letter, to me, from the same, which you will please return to me, should you appoint me to the position sought. I promise your excellency that the duties thereof will be performed with fidelity.

Any amendment to the law, regulating the duties of Commissioners of Miss. in other States, and such information as may be of interest, will be thankfully received.
