I hereby certify on honor, that the books, papers, records and office furniture, to-day inventoried and delivered by me to Capt J Warren Miller, Asst. Adjt. Gen. U. S. V. Commissioner appointed to receive the same, under orders of this date, by Brevet Brig: Gen. E D. Osband U S V Commanding Post of Jackson, constitute all the archives and property pertaining to the office of Secretary of State of the state of Mississippi, which I claimed as in my possession, or immediate control, previous to this date, and that they are substantially the same, as to number, quality and completeness, as they have at any time been, since their recent removal to this place.
