Gov. Sharkey

The Bearer of this Mr Cain is solicitous to receive the appointment of Mail agent on the Southern Railroad. He has been acting as such, without au=thority for the benefit of the people, in Connection with Mr Kerr I believe that he would be favorably received by citizens on the route with whom he is popu-lar by his Courteous attention.

Should it be in your power to grant his wishes we believe it would result in good to the service.
