Permit me to Call your attention to the petition of Mr Morris Gattman of the place for pardon, in the hands of Genl Gholston & also the letter of Judge Hous-ton handed you by me on the same subject. The petition & letter state all of the facts upon which M^r. G. bases his application, and I feel assured that you will gratify the wishes of Mr Gattman and of his nu-merous friends by giving the petition Your most Cordial Approval—such an act on your part will be highly appreciated by Mr Gattman—and give great satisfact-ion to his numerous friends in this County
