Dear Sir

As no one has Yet accepted the position of member of the Board of supervisors for Dist N^o 1 in this County formerly held by me At the solicitation of Friends I have consented to withdraw my resignation, some time since tendered if I may be permitted to do so—At the time it was offered I expected to remove from the County but have since determined not to do so. And if my letter of resignation is returned I am still willing to serve

Please let me hear from You soon as the District is unrepresented on the Board
