Dear Sir

Enclosed I forward blank reports forwarded me by last mail. I have never been qualified to collect any portion of the Common School Fund, having never given bond for ^the discharge of^ that part of the County Treasurers business. There have never been any fines collected in this county since I have held the office, to my knowledge—

I beg leave to call your attention to my resignation forwarded some time since, and ask that my successor may be appointed and commissioned as soon as possible
