I am not able to get a correct copy of the affidavit of Register Walton which you read to the Cong. Investigating Committee at Jackson The handwriting you will recollect was indistinct so that you were hardly able to ~~dis~~ make it out. I would be much obliged to you if you would send a copy of it to me as soon as convenient to put in my report of the evidence.
