JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI.

To the Sheriff of Yazoo County

Greeting:

Whereas, at the February Term, 1874, of the Circuit Court of Yazoo County, in said State, John Jackson was convicted of the crime of Larceny—, and by the Court sentenced to Two years confinement in the State Penitentiary

Now, Therefore, I, Adelbert Ames Governor of the State of Mississippi, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of said State, and for divers good and sufficient reasons, me, thereto moving, do grant unto the said John. Jackson a full pardon for said crime of Larceny—and do authorize and direct you, on receipt of these presents, to release him from confinement.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Mississippi to be affixed this 28" day of March 1874.
