Sir I write to inform you as I learn that you are on the Comittees of suppling suffers of this county there are four Plantation on Deer ck near the lines of Bollavor County that are so badly overflowed that without some releif for the people they must suffer as some of them are suffering now and I respectfully that they be furnish with some supplies untill the warter go down I will also leave the names of the parties on Each Plantation

Dear Governor

I find a demand for help from overflowed people coming in on all sides; Caused by the continued rise of the Back water; the Mississippi is only falling here about an inch in Twenty four hours and the back water still rising. I send letter from Hon. W. H. Harris member of the Legislature who lives in the overflowed District. If possible send me four thousand Rations at once & oblige. I will send list as soon as I can get it—
