In answer to your letter of the 1^st Inst. requesting information as to number of rations issued to the Sufferers from overflow in the State of Mississippi, and the cost of the same, I have the honor to state, That I have issued the following amounts viz.

47000.	Rations H^d Bread	costing ^$2056.25
73027.	Rations Beans	costing ^$402.16
		Total cost. ^$7,013.87
