If no appointment has been made under the Act appointing Commissioners to make investigations as to the frauds and defalcations in the matter of Licences, Liquor, &c, for this County and Issaquena, I respectfully presents my name and claims for that position in said Counties or in either, if appointment has been made for one. I have not been able to find a Copy of the Act, only know of its reputed Existence. I respectfully refer you to Col W. H. Bolton, C. W. Clarke, and any other gentlemen of prominence in the party hereabouts—
