To the Supt. State Penitentiary

Greeting:

Whereas, At the June Term, 1875, of the Circuit Court of Simpson County, in said State, Rufus Daily was convicted of the crime of Grand Larceny, and by the Court sentenced to One Month ~~years~~ confinement in the State Penitentiary;

Now, Therefore, I, ~~ADELBERT AMES,~~ ^A. K. Davis Lt. Gov Actg^ Governor of the State of Mississippi, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of said State, and for divers good and sufficient reasons, me, thereto moving, do grant unto the said Rufus Daily a full pardon for said crime of Grand Larceny and do authorize and direct you, on receipt of these presents to release him from confinement.
