Herewith I have the honor to transmit to you the enclosed resolutions passed at a caucus of the Republican members of the Mississippi Legislature.

³²³ At a caucus of the Republican members of the Mississippi Legislature held at Jackson January 10th 1876 The following Resolutions were unanimously passed:

Be it Resolved, that we most heartily approve of the Annual Message of his Excellency Gov. Adelbert Ames, to the Legislature just assembled and earnestly endorse his administration of the affairs of this state.

& Be it further resolved, that having en-tire confidence in his ability as a leader and his thorough as the chief Executive of this state we hereby pledge him our unanimous Co operation and Cordial support in his future ad-ministration.

³⁴ Be it further resolved that we reaffirm our endorsement of the Administration of his Excellency Ulysses S. Grant President of the United states and we pledge anew

our most hearty support to his administration.

Be it further resolved that we hereby tender our thanks to the Hon. O. P. Morton, for his incessant labors in behalf of the Republicans of the South and espe-cially for his efforts to bring before the world the facts in connection with the recent election in this state.
