Mr. Russell S. Sessions one of the Justi-ces of the Peace elected in the 3^rd,, (or Warrenton) district, died day before yesterday, and his office is now vacant.

If it is in your power to appoint a successor I will accept the ap-pointment if tendered me, and I believe the Senate will confirm it.
