My D^r Sir:

Your favor of the 21^st inst, asking me to furnish His Excellency the Gov. with the facts in the case of the killing of a colored man in this State near Buena Vista (Chickasaw Co I presume) by one John Paul, to hand this morning. I know ^nothing^ of the facts in this case. Chickasaw was not in the Dis of which I was Dis Atty. It is in C. B. Mitchel Esq^s Dis. His Post office is Pontotoc.
