Alcorn, informing the Governor that he believes that his life is in danger and that of his family due to his position against the Ku Klux Klan in his area. He also explains that he has some friends who are helping to protect him, but still fear the number of Ku Klux Klan outnumber his protection, he is asking for the Governor to look into his situation with regard to arresting the members of the Klan.

Alcorn, informing Alcorn that a person or persons burned a Black Methodist Church in Lee County, and that a party of armed men also subsequently murdered an African American man named Gilbert Fields.

Alcorn, for the Phillip Phillips concert held on March 30, 1871. Phillips was an internationally acclaimed spiritual hymn writer and performer based out of New York.
