Heaton, Chief Quartermaster of the District of Mississippi, requesting fifteen days rations to be issued for two men on detached service from Company K, 52nd United States Colored Infantry at Jackson, Mississippi. The return is approved by Assistant Adjutant General W. A. Gordon, by order of Major General Peter J. Osterhaus, thus authorizing the Assistant Commissary of Subsistence to issue the requested rations.
