Alcorn, containing a request by the board of mayor and aldermen of the city of Jackson, Mississippi, to reinstate two previously removed members of the board, a McLaughlin and Peyton. Enclosed in the letter is a newspaper clipping containing the proceedings of a public meeting in which citizens of Jackson appointed Stafford, Yerger, and Virden to write to Alcorn on the aforesaid matter.
