From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Governor Clark Collection. Telegram from Confederate Captain and Ordnance Officer W. D. Humphries at Griffin, Georgia, to Confederate Colonel J. M. Kennard at Oxford, Mississippi, informing him that Confederate Captain Clark had reported with nine wagons, and that he is waiting on a delivery of pistols.
